Local dental hygienist offers free teeth cleaning: no pain, but definitely a gain
Sherwood Park…Baseline Village Dental Hygiene will offer no-cost preventative dental hygiene services on Saturday, April 7, 2018, as part of a national project.
“You’d be surprised how many people in our community have limited or no dental coverage,” shares Candice Boyce, Registered Dental Hygienist and owner of Baseline Village Dental Hygiene. “Participating in the Gift from the Heart project is my way of giving back to the community and educating people that you can have quality, pain-free teeth cleaning, both for your mouth and your wallet.”
Baseline Village Dental Hygiene (BVDH) uses the latest technology to ensure patients receive the same high-quality care as expected from a dental office. In addition, BVDH’s innovative teeth-cleaning methods and products allow clients to enjoy a pain-free experience – a fear that keeps many patients from undergoing a cleaning. As well, BVDH’s rates are more affordable than industry standards helping low-income seniors and families, as well as small businesses, access optimal dental care.
“Since becoming a Registered Hygienist, it’s been my dream to make the finest in dental hygiene care available to everyone,” said Candice Boyce. “This is my first year participating in the Gift from the Heart event and I’m excited to clean some teeth, free of charge, on April 7.”
Jody Gotell, a mom of one and a Sherwood Park resident, said “[Candice] was able to do everything we needed, including an exam and x-rays. It never occurred to me before that I don’t need to see a dentist every time I have a dental appointment.” Candice is one of only a handful of Registered Alberta Dental Hygienists to operate her own dental hygiene clinic.
